When I first became involved in acting some years ago, yes, in the beginning I was a little nervous.  And then, over time I had gotten used to it as I was learning “while doing.”  In short, that is the only way to do it.  This is one of the main ways to become better is to go to class and perform in front of others.  Also, listen to the coaching that the teacher is giving you.

So, for me, what I did was I officially enrolled in my first class at Second City in Toronto in 2006.  This came after a period of thinking things over and really thinking about if I wanted to become an actor, or not, after my first time in a (small group) workshop in 1997.  Yeah.  A long time ago.  Even then I wasn’t convinced.

Some more time went by, and here we are now in 2002 in this story.  It was during this time that I got involved in a short film project in Brampton.  I helped out with the writing, the editing, and I had a role in it as well.  Unfortunately, I do not have a copy of this film anymore, but the reason why I’m mentioning it is because this was a turning point for me.  I had so much fun working on this project that I knew I wanted to give acting a go.  Read more….

I also wanted to learn how to write comedy so I got into that a bit later on.  To see what I have been doing most recently…watch my stand up comedy video.
